Privacy Policy

Summary

We do not collect, store, sell, or share any personal information. The app has no sign-up, no user accounts, no advertising, no analytics SDKs, and no tracking of any kind. We operate no backend server that receives your data.

Everything the app remembers — your last-played rukoo, bookmarks, playback preferences, downloaded audio, and your most recent location for prayer times — is stored only on your device and is removed when you delete the app.

What we collect

Nothing. No name, no email address, no phone number, no device identifier, no advertising identifier, no usage analytics, no crash telemetry sent to us, and no contact or health data. In Apple's App Privacy terms, every category is answered “Data Not Collected”.

The app does not track you across other apps or websites, and contains no third-party tracking libraries.

Location

Prayer times and Qibla direction depend on where you are, so the app asks for “While Using the App” location access the first time you open those features. Your coordinates are used on your device to compute prayer times locally with the open-source Adhan library. They are never uploaded to us or to any third party.

The most recently known location is cached on the device so the home screen and the Next Prayer widget can show a countdown without waking the GPS every time. Denying or revoking location permission is fully supported: the rest of the app — Quran audio, translations, and E-code search — continues to work normally.

What is stored on your device

Deleting the app removes all of it. You can also clear downloaded audio from within the app at any time.

Network requests

The app makes network requests for one purpose only: fetching Quran recitation audio when you play or download it. Those requests go to the third-party content hosts listed on our Data Sources page — archive.org for English recitation and quranurdu.com for Urdu recitation with translation.

These requests carry no account, no identifier, and no personal information — only the address of the audio file being fetched. Those hosts are independent services with their own privacy practices; like any web server, they may keep ordinary access logs. Prayer times and Qibla direction require no network access at all: they are computed on your device.

On iOS, the Urdu audio host is reachable only over plain HTTP, so the app declares a narrow App Transport Security exception scoped to that single domain. No other domain is exempt, and no user data travels over it.

E-code lookups differ by platform. The iOS app answers every E-code search from a database bundled inside the app, with no network request at all. The Android app additionally offers an AI-assisted lookup powered by Google Gemini; when you use that feature, the additive you asked about is sent to Google in order to generate an answer. It is not tied to any identity of yours, and the manual, offline lookup remains available on Android if you prefer not to use it. See our AI Disclaimer.

Children

Quran Kit is suitable for all ages and is not directed at children in a way that involves collecting data — because it collects none. There is no user-generated content, no messaging, no social feature, and no advertising.

Because no data ever leaves your device, there is nothing for us to export, correct, or delete on your behalf. You remain in full control:
